This Privacy Policy explains how Beacon Engineering Resources ("Beacon," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Beacon Payroll Portal at payroll.beaconengineers.com (the "Portal"). The Portal is a private, internal tool used by Beacon's contractors and administrators to submit and review weekly timesheets and expenses for payroll. It is not open to the general public.
If you opt in by providing your mobile number and checking the alerts box during signup, we use your number solely to send you action-needed notifications about your own timesheets and expenses — for example, when a submission is returned for revision or rejected — directing you to log in and resolve it.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Message frequency varies and depends on your submission activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your ability to use the Portal or receive email notifications.
We use the information above only to operate the Portal and support Beacon's payroll process: to authenticate your account, display and process your timesheets and expenses, notify you when something needs your attention, and prepare data for payroll. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We share information only with the service providers that operate the Portal on our behalf, and only as needed to run the service:

Timesheet and expense records are retained for as long as needed for payroll, accounting, and recordkeeping. Uploaded receipt images are retained for approximately six months and then deleted; the associated expense records (amounts and descriptions) are kept. Access to the Portal requires a login, data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and database access is restricted by per-user security rules so that people can only see their own submissions (administrators see what their role permits). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
